How Dions Became a New Mexico Icon

What started as a single counter-service pizza shop on Albuquerque's 4th Street grew into the most trusted name in dion's pizza across the entire state of New Mexico.

In 1978, founder Dion Overton opened the doors to his first location with one promise: make every pizza like you'd make it for your own family. Using fresh-milled dough, hand-crushed tomatoes, and locally sourced produce, that philosophy resonated immediately with the Albuquerque community.
